Incidentally, the now defunct DSIT is leading this project, and no-one is saying who will replace it. The Treasury is refusing to say if it will join, despite agreeing to fund it based on a business case predicated on it joining. Tech and government. Keeps me in business.

AI apparently "not a priority" for Burnham, so presumably this is all low-stakes scraps for him, and meanwhile Purnell gets a govt that looks comfortingly like 2009 to play with
