It’s probably better for my mental health but I don’t really know how to post on social media, like I either want to rant about media I like or post about whatever personal thing I’m thinking about rn, like idk how to do a concise post that people would actually want to read
My life is so boring and I love it. I hang out with friends but most days I just stay home and play games and read manga and listen to music and it rules so hard
Fuck I love women so much, I want to cry out when I think about all the beautiful women in the world
Going camping this weekend and I’m taking some Fantastic Four paperbacks and Berserk volumes with me, gonna be a great relaxing time
It bothers me when people get after other people who are into things they aren’t. It doesn’t matter if it makes you uncomfortable, there’s no reason to demonize someone for making or enjoying something that is not real. Someone can enjoy something that is considered “taboo” and be a good person
I think about Hunter x Hunter more than anyone should but fuck I love it so much. I adore how it loves Shonen manga so much and uses that love to explore it and take it to its natural conclusions and extremes, along with some incredible art and a deep understanding of how to make fights interesting
It’s insane how much HRT changes your life. I didn’t think it would feel that drastic, I thought I was doing pretty good and that it would help me get to the higher level of peace and happiness I just couldn’t quite reach, but fuck it’s made me feel whole in a way I never have before
The 16-year-old who died was May Pollard. She went by Jane Doe in the lawsuit, because she didn't want to be an activist. She just wanted to be a teen girl who played Terraria with her friends and ran a Discord dedicated to the streamer Jerma985. 3/ www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Idaho pushed anti-trans laws for years. Then a teen died.
The life and death of May Pollard, 16, provides a window into the tragic effect that legislation and political rhetoric have had on trans people in America.

More people need to embrace checking out older stuff, like I’m playing Ys 2 for the first time and it rules. A lot of people get caught up in the idea that modern styles and conveniences are needed to have a good time with something when you just need curiosity and an open mind
Hung out with a cool queer co-worker of mine and their girlfriend today and it was really nice! I’m always nervous to meet and hang out with people but it went well! I’m glad I’m starting to put myself out there a little more and hang out with more queer people
My mom would play a lot of Shakira’s older stuff (before she was singing in English), Fulanito, a ton of Merengue in general, and my dad would mostly play Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, and 90’s West Coast rap
what's the music your parents played all the time when you were a kid? for me, it's a dead heat between Neil Diamond and Linda Ronstadt
I adore how a big part of being queer is having so much love and fascination for things that are a part of something bigger ((whether it’s a concept, environment, or person)) that seem insignificant or minor, and being so captivated by them that it becomes a driving force in your life and passions
It’s interesting seeing what hasn’t changed since starting my transition. I’ve always been pretty introverted and I know a lot of trans people feel introverted because of dysphoria, and while now I do feel more comfortable going to things in public spaces, I am definitely still introverted haha
I watched the Utena movie in theaters tonight and that was such a wonderful experience! It was really made to be watched in a theater, just absolutely gorgeous to look at, and still such a powerful follow up to the show. It turns your understanding of the series on its head to make a powerful ending
I watched both Hathaway movies today and they were really good! The hybrid 2d and 3d animation mesh well together and it’s always nice to see a Gundam story that understands that the characters and conflict are the focus and that if you spread out the fights, their impact is greater
It’s crazy that I’m starting to see myself as cute and desirable, HRT really is something
I watched Madoka Magica for the first time this week and I really enjoyed it, it’s a good exploration of magical girl stories and the implications they carry, but I watched Rebellion tonight and that movie is amazing. It explores the show’s conclusions and upends them in such interesting ways
It’s gutting that someone like Juniper who was so full of life, love, and joy for the world could be taken so soon. Our world spreads so much darkness and it’s so easy to feel like it’s not worth caring anymore, but we owe it to her, Charlotte Fosgate, and others like them we’ve lost to spread light
Found this post on reddit and the last bit nails it: “Please don't remember her for the horrific end to her life. Remember her for who she was, a true blessing. To everyone around her.”
And they’ve identified her. www.santafenewmexican.com/news/local_n...
I beat Trails in the Sky SC and that was such a great game! It does an amazing job of taking what the first game set up and exploring the characters, setting, and what makes them tick so well, and getting more serious with what’s happening, while retaining the heart and charm of FC
Mix of stuff I listened to in high and college and stuff I found much more recently but I can’t think of any other albums I love more than these
I don't talk about my music tastes much online but that being said, this was a fun way to kill time on a lunch break:
I’m playing Trails in the Sky SC and it and FC have been hitting me the same way the Xenoblades and Xenogears do, where I love being in this world and enjoy every second of playing, even when I’m grinding. And talking to every npc after each story beat is really engaging despite the time it takes
Being able to more fully feel and process my emotions due to being on HRT means I’ve had to confront my self loathing and the ways and reasons it manifests and that’s been hard work but it’s also been so nice to realize that I’ve actually gotten better at internalizing that I deserve love and joy
I beat Trails FC and I really enjoyed the whole game, but holy shit that ending was absolutely amazing, a really great payoff to how much they focused on and developed Estelle, Joshua, and their relationship
Fuck that first episode of Turn A Gundam was great, can’t remember the last time 24 minutes blew away like nothing
Ideon: Be Invoked is a brutal and beautiful ending to a story about how one of the roots of conflict is misunderstanding and an exploration of what it means to believe in something beyond us and coming to understand and accept its intentions, even when it runs counter to what you believe
The 25th Ward is probably more well known than other games being talked about but it’s definitely underplayed. It takes the structure and themes of The Silver Case and ramps up how surreal and brutal it got to explore the pressure cooker that is modern society store.steampowered.com/app/697650/T...
The 25th Ward: The Silver Case on Steam
In the bayside area of Kanto, a murder with unknown motivations sets off a series of seemingly random events bringing together peculiar individuals, one of whom is detective Tokio Morishima. When thei...

Hear me out... Univerally praised games are neat enough, but nothing hits quite like something unpopular that speaks to *you*. So show-and-tell: Link and Explain a game that's UNDERRATED (sub-500 user reviews), UNDERRATED (sub 80% score) or BOTH (ideally!) that is near and dear to your heart.

NEW: I spoke to the sex workers organizing a union at Sheri's Ranch, a brothel in Nevada, about a contract that they say could threaten their right to control their images online. The fight is already serious: since the drive began, four workers have been fired. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
