Husband, dad, nature lover, advocate. Uncomfortable truths.

When you’ve got a stupid-amount of money to spend on a race and only 30 days to do it, you spend it stupidly. Just how much available broadcast ad time did you think there was in Maine? Zero. Consultants only get paid for ads that run.

Yep. Defending Main Street PAC—a GOP SuperPAC focused on boosting non-MAGA Republicans—spent $20-25K on digital ads against Troy Jackson in Portland ... OREGON. Receipts: adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/A...

The thing about dictators is they think whatever they say is the law. “Dictate” is right there in the name. Trump gets frustrated/angry whenever he says something should happen and it doesn’t. He thinks “Leader of the Free World” means “Omnipotent.”

I think retired Americans deserve answers. The Trump Administration’s annual COLA adjustment for Social Security for 2026 was 2.8%. Inflation jumped to 3.3% in March following the start of the Iran War by Trump, and the start of Tarriff Wars. Trumpflation is hurting seniors on fixed incomes.

Exclusive: Sen. Darline Graham, the Republican Senate candidate in South Carolina, has pledged to crack down on China. But her husband, Larry Nordone, has management roles in two companies that rely on Chinese manufacturing, company filings show.

Darline Graham opposes Chinese manufacturing. Her husband’s job relies on it.

The senator and sister of the late Lindsey Graham has said the U.S. must “stop depending on Communist China for things America can make ourselves.”

12 million Americans believe Reptilian aliens are secretly controlling humanity. 66 million believe in the Roswell UFO conspiracy. You wonder how Trump won with his Deep State Conspiracies? This is how Trump was elected.

“inimitable spirit” is politically correct for FAFO. Or as Carl Sandberg put it: “Fierce as a dog with tongue lapping for action, cunning as a savage pitted against the wilderness, Bareheaded, Shoveling, Wrecking, Planning, Building, breaking, rebuilding, Under the smoke”

Governor JB Pritzker@govpritzker.illinois.gov · 2d ago

ICYMI: Chicago was voted the Best Big City in the nation for the tenth consecutive year. It’s a credit to what truly makes Chicago the best – the inimitable spirit of the people who call this city home.

My fellow Americans: it is time to take our country back. When Jeff Bezos tell you that he, Elon Musk, Peter Theil and others envision an AI-driven three-day work week, he leaves out it is making $2.55/hr + tips, with no benefits, and $6 gasoline. It’s the Death of the American Middle Class Dream.

Every time you find yourself questioning The Grand Design, imagine the odds of a former prosecutor in the John Burge case, the most notorious case of prosecutorial misconduct in Cook County history, ending up federal judge in one of the most notorious cases of federal prosecturial misconduct ever.

UPDATE: Judge April Perry denies the government's bid to keep all of this under seal — including the attorney's signature block. "The government has also publicly disclosed … that there is an OPR investigation in this case."

Mike and I don’t often agree on communications strategy, but he is right on this one. The mass psychology is straightforward. MAGA is not a political movement, it is a cult. External assaults reinforce cults. Cults must be destroyed from within, using their own belief system.

And attack Hegseth head on for his crap, too. Everyone seems to groan at it but I don't recall seeing any Dem movement giving him hell

Sam Altman said people are just gonna have to die in order to implement AI. In the very same week, Anthropic claimed it’s a human rights violation to be mean to the computer. These people need to be held accountable. They think lines of code are a person with rights but living people are debris.

The Verge@theverge.com · 4d ago

Over the past year, Anthropic has repeatedly flirted with the idea that its AI models could be conscious in some way. In February, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said on a podcast, “We don’t know if the models are conscious.”
