Either Trump thinks playing to the most extreme part of his base and screwing over the rest of the country is sound political strategy, or he plans on rigging the elections so it doesn't matter. It's one or the other.

Pew research has Trump at 30% approval. I know many will say "30% is still too high!" but you have to understand just how colossally low that number is for any president in modern American politics. It's almost the absolute floor. 30% approval is Iraq war/J6 fallout approval numbers.
