Speaking for my field this rings true. An LLM can create an amazing looking website and documentation faster than a human could but at a greater cost for checking your work or, usually, somebody else’s work.

I am not going to say I am annoyed about work but I used a very common British phrase about somebody today that gets an angry smack from my better half because it refers to as she says a very beautiful thing. It doesn’t change my stance. And I used it for good reason.

US and UK friends, I'm curious: What books were part of your required reading for highschool literature class? Which of them do you remember loving, and which did you loathe?

If I were a cynic I would suggest that the way Claude Code handles 'finding' skills and applying them is purely a way in which it drives up token use for no good reason.

As I discovered when there was a "how many degrees of separation are you from Adolf Hitler" discussion a while back, Herbert Hoover is also virtually the only notable American who ever met him.

Well new achievement unlocked. Brushed a wasp’s nest while walking the dog. Ran away and fell over. But not before picking up 12 stings. I am, it must be said, in quite a lot of pain.
