Orioles news is pretty devastating for the fans. It'll take some time to get over I'm sure. Took the fam to Adley's first game at Oriole Park. Just rough.

Gotta love a theme manager built in Rust that decides it doesn't even want JavaScript in its example gallery. I'm migrating my theming from Flavours to Tinty.

My son and I finished up the "Fear No Evil" expansion for Marvel Champions by defeating Kingpin. I think it's probably my favorite expansion since "Sinister Motives". Daredevil and Echo are very combo-driven heroes, and the villain encounters introduce new mechanics, but remain easy to set up.

Apparently I've created a small hobby for myself of alerting companies that their online renewal flows are against the law (way to go Maryland!). I consider this the previous generation's equivalent of a "Letter to the Editor".

Rewatched the Daniel Craig era Bond movies recently with my family. I put text reviews in my activity feed on my site if you're curious, but here's the star ratings: ★★★★★ Casino Royale ★★☆☆☆ Quantum of Solace ★★★★☆ Skyfall ★★☆☆☆ Spectre ★★★☆☆ No Time to Die

Saw "The Odyssey" and enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away like I normally am with most Nolan flicks. I liked the recent Ralph Fiennes' godless version "The Return" a little better, even though it was smaller in scope.

Table Slayer now provides the ability to add polygon "fog rooms" that allow you to quickly toggle fog on and off in specific areas of your map.

I finally have cracked Figma quality multiplayer responsiveness in Table Slayer. This took all day. Such a fun/hard project. Just when you think the problem is on the network side (lag), or the sync side (update clobbering), it's actually on the 3D rendering side. This was all three!

Table Slayer now handles large maps in a more elegant fashion. It projects an outline of your viewable TV space in the editor (based on your TV size). Then you can pan around as you need.

During the Summer we force "i'm bored" time into our kids day so they aren't on a screen all day (exemption if they are creating things). Recently my son has been digging these game books. It's like a massive choose your own adventure, but with dice. archmagepress.com/collections/...

Table Slayer now has a performance setting so that you can trade frame rate for effects fidelity. This should help folks trying to run it on older hardware.

Counter Slayer now supports "standee" style storage for games like Plum Island Horror / Star Wars Rebellion. I love these small bin packing / efficiency puzzles. It reminds me a lot of my UI component work. How can you make something generic enough to be useful and reusable?

The nice part about having lots of projects (Counter Slayer, Table Slayer, and my person site) is that I'm never bored. I always think... oh, that one is in pretty good shape, and then suddenly have a new idea for it. Today I'm adding "standee" storage to Counter Slayer similar to this one.
