Quick sketch in #procreate after watching Death of Robin Hood. Definitely felt the ending was inspired by Wyeth’s “Passing of Robin Hood” painting, building on its imagery to stage a beautiful end to the movie
This is insane, and as far as I can tell from looking at the PAX West website, they're not even advertising an artist alley on the site.
so i just got an email telling me that i got accepted into the new Artist Alley they're doing at PAX West this year and they want $960 for a 6 ft table..........
How's that OpenAI partnership going chaps? The call is coming from inside the house Mary
Not enough water for UK’s datacentre plans, trade body says
Rewatched Trumbo (2015) a movie guaranteed to make me very angry. Bryan Cranston/Dalton Trumbo sketch in #procreate
Portrait practice, from ref #procreate Brooks Kim’s 6b pencil/dusty chalk_particle/conte_square brushes from his sketching pack
I think I saw this movie just before I turned 16, and still think about it a lot. Probably my first Pacino movie now I think about it and probably my favourite performance from him if I was asked to pick just one. Al Pacino/Lt. Col. Frank Slade from Scent of a Woman (1992) sketch in #procreate
Missed #internationalportraitday again this year. I think it’s the overlap between the technical drawing skill and the puzzle of “where” the likeness is on a persons face that makes them my favourite. They never really get as much traction on socials but personally I think they’re my strongest work
I’m very pleased to have had the chance to storyboard DISCLOSURE DAY and work with Steven Spielberg, one of my filmmaking heroes.
Amazing how Clegg has this knack for being the sole person in the room with a pure heart and always getting out just before everything pivots to evil.

Every time I open one of these cursed apps lately something just doubles down on the feeling that I’d have been better served doing literally anything else than learning to draw
some of Werner Herzog's advice for filmmakers from his Heart of Glass post-screening Q&A: "Look out - where are the enemies, spot the enemies." "Form gangs, form rogue cells, form it, and go out and do it." and the storyboard is "the instrument of the coward."
He's right, actions DO speak louder than words, so it's wild he's done this twice now (NFT's, AI) and expects to be welcomed back. I'm just gonna assume it's his nature to sell out for money and fame. What a joke.

“Is there another way out?” Done in #procreate using a Lane Brown’s “The General” brush from his Charcoal pack #widowsbay #rhythmofthenight
If you’re browsing on a desktop pc and still using Chrome doing this gets rid of the ai overview altogether (I haven’t seen one in almost a year of Chrome updates) and you can just type search queries like we used to without adding the suffixes
If you're still using GenAI at this stage, and fuck knows it's impossible to stop you apparently, there's no way you don't know how artists feel about it's uses/ impact on their industries. Feels like a spiteful attempt at a "gotcha" for GenAI if the book did win. Fuck Michael Todasco in perpetuity

I'm so absolutely sick and tired of all of this. I know that no one asked for, or cares about my opinion but that page is one of the most stylistcially and narratively ugly comic book pages I've ever read.
