I read more and more observers saying that the increase in power of AI is pricing itself out of the market. Not enough users will be able afford to use it at the level required for AI to scale.
Might the World Cup authorities disqualify Argentina and void their win over England?

This is a hurried snap taken in the forecourt as we left The British Museum after seeing the exhibition on Hawai'i. We entered the museum from the side entrance, so we didn't see the trees in front of the main entrance until we left. So as we exited, we were met by the trees, and it was really noticeable how different the space feels with the trees there.

Critiquing My Work When I took the photograph I thought the woman was one of the flaneurs who had gathered at Piccadilly Circus. And she could be, and very probably is - but she has a camera, and a good one. So maybe she was a photographer and not a flaneur. Or both, a person can be both.

Flaneur Gathering At Covent Garden There is no collective noun for flaneur. It is not surprising. The archetype flaneur is a solitary observer of the human condition. What would happen if two flaneur dressed so similarly that they might be twins, and then met by chance? Would they bridle? Would…
Flaneur Gathering At Covent Garden
There is no collective noun for flaneur. It is not surprising. The archetype flaneur is a solitary observer of the human condition. What would happen if two flaneur dressed so similarly that they might be twins, and then met by chance? Would they bridle? Would they laugh at the unlikeliness of it? I can almost guarantee that they would laugh together because that is part and parcel of being a flaneur.

A flâneur is someone who wanders without a specific destination, acting as a detached, philosophical observer of modern life, crowds, and society. Nothing in that definition explicitly says that such a person has to dress in a particular way. And yet the notion goes hand in hand with someone who cares about their dress, and may well feel more at home in a more analogue time.

What has changed since 2008 when Nikon released the camera? Well, one thing that has changed is the post-processing software. It has made it possible to pull out a more detailed and striking image.

The red brick building is the Cruciform Building. It houses the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research, the UCL Medical School, and a library. It was constructed in 1906, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, and it used to be the site of the hospital.

The nearest 'proper' place for bluebells is Wanstead Park in east London, and sometime within the next two weeks should be a good time to go. Just have to find the time... For the tech stuff, I took the first shot with a Fuji X100F and the second shot with a Canon R6 with 35mm RF lens. The third shot is the same photo as the second one but with sharpening dialled right down because I wanted to see what it looks like.

The house is solidly middle class, while the car is bright pink. As you might guess, the contrast is what drew me to take the photo. Because the car was on full view from the pavement, but out of respect for the owner, I obscured the number plate, unlike with the Chevrolet Corvette that was parked on the street. Actually, I have a beef with the pink colour of the Fiat.
