July was a big month for BC. We signed a landmark agreement with Ottawa that will bring billions in investment, support good-paying jobs, and help build BC's future. I also met with Canada's Premiers and the Prime Minister on U.S. tariffs, and visited Northern BC communities.
As we work to reduce our reliance on the U.S. and diversify trade, the Port of Prince Rupert is helping connect B.C. to new global markets every day. The Canada-B.C. Cooperative Prosperity Agreement is unlocking the projects needed to drive that growth.
The new Conservative Leader just isn’t focused on the issues that matter most.
We’re building B.C.’s economy and reducing our reliance on the United States. That means investing in major projects and the skilled workers needed to build them.

I had a great visit today to the newly named John Horgan Dam. The Dam and Generating Station in Fort St. John provide clean electricity for 500,000 homes every day.
Joined Dawson Creek’s Mayor and Council today and checked in on the new hospital. It’s set to open next year, bringing essential care to people across the Peace region. This is a state-of-the-art facility, over 50% bigger than the current hospital, built to meet the needs of the region.
New involuntary care beds are coming to Surrey and Prince George. Every person struggling with severe mental illness and addiction is someone’s child, parent, sibling, or friend. These facilities mean real care and a path to recovery — not the street. No one should be left behind.
It’s been one week since our landmark deal with the federal government bringing billions of dollars in investment into B.C.! Some highlights: skilled trades training, creating more opportunities close to home, supporting good, unionized jobs, and advancing affordable childcare.
