Oh, I figured it out. They made the system work this way specifically to be annoying. Then every email they send promises that this could all be easier if I just download their app. So it's not about security, just enshittification to boost app installs.

I have been advising clients for years not to get locked into using a SaaS platform to build a website. Once you are locked in, whether its Webflow, Framer, Wix, etc., they can increase prices and degrade service and you have no recourse besides completely rebuilding the site in a new platform.

I'm in favor of not changing our clocks twice a year. Whether we eliminate daylight savings time or make it permanent is immaterial. Humans have agency and we can adjust our lives accordingly. I think it's easier and makes more sense for organizations to change their hours of operations as needed.
