EcoArch fieldwork in Kamangoza/Kumadzulo, near Livingstone, Zambia. We will reconstruct Iron Age ecological baselines prior to and after the introduction of iron working at the sites.
EcoArch fieldwork underway near Kilwa Masoko, Tanzania. Testing out our new coring machine in swamps was the top order of business, but we also sampled from the Mnaraeka site and collected surface samples to build biomarker databases.
