So the same week they announce that the high level Claude brigade escaped again and compromised three companies, I get a note in my work email that the government is about to authorize full use of those same two uncontrollable things into their systems.

This is just an addimssion that HE can't give it up. It angers me every day, popping up in things I have done for years. I could absolutely give it up. Cheerfully.

🧵1) There is a type of book. A theme, but it's more than that. The two immediate examples that come to mind are Red Rising, and Wool (which I just finished). Deep world-bulding, horrifying generational betrayal. Deep detail and characters you absolutely connect with. And resistance. I love these.

AI can INSTANTLY anger me to an unreasonable point. Someone sent a new poem for an upcoming collection. I opened it. Word pops open a sidebar and wants to know if I need an analytical outline of my document. Of a poem. WTAF

Just watched the first ep of the new Ted Lasso season and it's good... very good. Reminds me that I bought a KENT jersey from eBay but... it says Kant, and I think the universe was trying to tell me something.

So I can't say where, or when it will appear, but I sold my novella, Non-0 and I'm very pleased with the deal. That was the news I was holding back.

I only met Ray Bradbury one time. We were both guests at a convention, but I don't remember which one. He signed my copy of Farenheight 451 and nearly spilled his drink on it (lol). Very nice guy.

Against the odds, I finished the part of paying royalties I needed to finish... almost to the nose on the time we close down and come into the bedroom for a tv break before sleep. No writing today, but that's fine if I finsh payments and move on.
