Not exaggerating when I say #SterlingPoint is the best teen drama I’ve seen in years. My Old Ass writer/director Megan Park toes the line so well between cosy summer viewing and teen melodrama that comes with some edge and bite. It’s funny, it’s sexy, it’s swoony. So addictive

Wrote about the emotional heft of that cruel twist and the “breakup” scene that followed in #SpiderManBrandNewDay. Few Marvel films prioritise emotional storytelling in this way, which is exactly why this is the MCU’s best #SpiderMan film yet www.gamesradar.com/entertainmen...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s cruel twist cements this as the best MCU Spider-Man film yet

OPINION | Spider-Man: Brand New Day puts emotional storytelling at the forefront, a rarity for the MCU

Na Hong-Jin’s HOPE is even wilder than I expected. A bonkers genre blend that’s thrilling, terrifying and surprisingly hilarious. It’s flawed yes, but when it’s really working, it’s better than any recent Hollywood blockbuster. Also includes the year’s best poop story, no doubt

#BatmanCapedCrusader continues to be an underrated gem in season 2. Clever twists on classic villains, more gorgeous noir-style animation and another queer episode to boot! There’s a new take on a spectral DC hero that I especially loved. Wish Prime would release this one weekly

It’s a good thing #BrandNewDay came so soon after The Odyssey because Tom Holland does some fantastic acting in this one. Easily his best work since he became #SpiderMan. Can’t remember the last time a Marvel film made me feel emotional (altho this pic does stir up a lot too)

In a career full of masterpieces, Secrets & Lies might be Mike Leigh’s greatest masterpiece of all. It’s devastating that his career is likely coming to an end, even if the reasons why are very understandable. A huge loss for cinema.

Livid at how #XMen97 treated Magik in this week’s episode. Especially disappointing for a show that has otherwise been very progressive and mostly in tune with what fans actually want. Wrote more about Illyana at Radio Times today 👇 www.radiotimes.com/tv/sci-fi/x-...

X-Men '97 season 2's tragic death repeats a disappointing trope for a character that deserved so much better

Her fate in the show echoes the troubling treatment she's received in decades past
