Well, I know my family is just one of millions in the same situation, but the air here in Portland is becoming hazardously smoky, and we'd like to evacuate. All the hotels on the coast are booked or too expensive. Anybody who lives on the coast and can help, please say so!

My friend Bob Steck was a veteran of the Spanish Civil War, and taught high school history for decades afterwards. He explained to me once that the history of civilization was primarily a history of the struggle between the haves and the have-nots, in its various forms.
Looking forward to seeing people in Bangor, Washington on the weekend of August 8th, as we remember what nuclear weapons did to cities in Japan 81 years ago -- and what such weapons should never do again to anyone, anywhere.
AUSTRALIA: I got my plane tickets for November. I'll land in Brisbane on November 3, depart from Brisbane on November 24. In between those dates Kamala and I will travel to Sydney for sure, and hopefully other places, depending on who's up for organizing a gig somewhere!
There are various signs throughout history when an overstretched empire is about to collapse. The US currently ticks most of the boxes.

Such a marvelous several days sharing stories and making music with the brilliant Laura Love.
I was interviewed the other day by Press TV. Unlike just about everything the western media has to say about the US-Israeli war against Iran, everything in this article is accurate. www.presstv.co.uk/Detail/2026/...
US violations of MoU not surprising; war against Iran to spell end of US imperialism: Activist
US conduct after signing the Islamabad MoU with Iran shows diplomatic contempt, and this war will ultimately spell the end of American imperialism in the region.

To whom it may concern: somehow holding musicians who use Suno responsible for the demise of the recording industry is exactly the same as blaming the demise of the taxi industry on former cab drivers who work for Uber. The logic is a form of punching down and victim-blaming.
The live album consisting of a song swap between Robb Johnson and I with an opening song from Attila the Stockbroker and Kamala Emanuel harmonizing is now up on all the streaming platforms!
Glenn Diesen often notes how the World War 2 generation of the western elite understood the difference between something like reality and their own propaganda, but with the current generation of the leaders of the west, they seem to believe the propaganda of their forebears.
One of the most popular chants in Iran today is "we will kill, we will kill, he who killed our imam."
🚨CODEPINK Statement in Solidarity with Fergie Chambers We are extremely concerned and outraged by the arrest of activist and funder Fergie Chambers in Spain and the U.S. request for his extradition on bogus charges.

Two new albums drop on all the streaming platforms on August 1st -- THE WRITING ON THE WALL and WHO WILL STOP THE EMPIRE? Almost all the songs on both albums were collaborations between me and Ai Tsuno. You can decide whose renditions you prefer!
It's not very complicated, except in the minds of the Gulf Arab elite. If you host a US military base in your country which the US wanted to put there in the first place in order to "contain" Iran, and then the US military attacks Iran, you have already made yourself a military target.
We don't know the answer, but the question is certainly among the most important ones of our age.
