No, they shouldn’t. B/c 1. You can’t just make Cold War civil rights happen again. 2. Cold War Anti-communism was a reputational pressure cooker for civil rights *and* for their severe repression. 2. Increased geopolitical competition (you want more escalation?!?!?) is a recipe against reform.
