I had become accustomed to thinking that a viral post on Bluesky was 4000 likes but every day for the past week I’ve seen something like this that has 27,000

Confused Donald the Duck with text saying Riddelle me this Why is there money for corporations but not for we the people

The argument here is when people criticize Israel for genocide (a majority opinion of genocide scholars and nations around the world), we actually are criticizing Jews as a whole. I say thats not a good idea; so sorry to my antizionist Jewish friends but I have to blame you because Chuck G said so

People need to get it through their heads that whatever they *might* have “actually” meant a couple of years ago, when leftists say “AIPAC” or “Israel” NOW they often mean (((Jewish))) just as when MAGA says “DEI” they mean “Black.” If you can’t get that I don’t know what the else to say.

I think Springs of Revolution are wrong about basically everything related to labor inside and outside DSA. Critical credit to the Trot box here, especially on questions 1 and 2 which seem no like brainers to me (#3 is a little less clear unless you really clarify it by having others in the debate.)

Thinking back to how crazy it was that Roy Moore got 68% of the white vote in Alabama and how the Evangelical movement got more fired up to try to elect him after he was accused of molesting high school girls. Hard to say what's been the lowest point of the Trump era but I'd put this on the list.

English libel laws are still insane. If you criticize someone and it's considered to "calculate to disparage", they may be able to sue you successfully. Also defamatory statements are presumed to be false and you have to prove they are true I'm not justifying Amnesty's apology, they're still wrong

Amnesty have issued an apology to JK Rowling and the rest. Adjust your expectations, and donations, accordingly www.amnesty.org.uk/latest/an-ap...

Interesting how many tens of millions of dollars Jeffrey Yass is spending around the country on governors races. And how it seems he is spending none on the Pennsylvania race both probably because Shapiro is already pro school voucher and because Garrity has zero shot of winning

When I was on our honeymoon, I saw a Scottish women operating the locks to get a narrow boat through their town and immediately went over and started talking about the Emsworth lock and dams and how we used floating pins or fore and aft lines and so on and now I realize I was just dam-splaining
