It would be such an upgrade if the upcoming arrival signs facing folks exiting rail stations showed connecting bus departures vs the trains you’re walking away from! Also some signs on the D line extension seem to randomly use different fonts for some numbers? 🚇🚌🚏 @metrolosangeles.bsky.social

Walked to the Central Library after work to see the worlds largest pop-up book + grab a stamp & learned the architect is carved into the Hope St. entrance, saw a remnant of the formerly lost fountain of scribes, & a banner from Burbank airport for the ‘94 World Cup that hung at Central for this one!
WeHo approved 24-hour bus bike lanes on La Cienega this week (contingent on LA also moving forward on their segment). These would reduce travel times by 9-10 minutes, improve reliability, & provide connections to the Wilshire/La Cienega D Line Station ahead of the LA28 Olympics. 🚌💨👏🏻
One quirk of the water main break is Metro’s route 2 that normally runs on sunset is running on Santa Monica through WeHo & both come frequently already so the spine of WeHo has insanely good bus service right now with near constant buses + no north south transfers to sunset! 🚌🚌🚌
I don’t understand why every design for this is so overcomplicated. This should just be a simple extension of grand park next door. No buildings or parking, just grass, shade, and maybe tables or a fountain. No need to cram in temporary parking, sports med, and a gallery… Fixed it for them:
The project would activate an empty lot with green space and a gallery
So thankful to everyone who came out for this! Let’s #FinishTheLine! 🚇📢👏🏻
The Metro Board is expected to choose the route for the K Line Northern Extension in March 2026. The City and a broad regional coalition support the San Vicente-Fairfax Alignment as the best option for more riders, jobs, and destinations! Share your voice with the Metro Board at metro.weho.org
Come say hi tomorrow morning!
Hey, #WeHo! Come hang with us bright & early Thursday AM and rally for the K Line Northern Extension, the San Vicente Route, and new rail to Mid City , Weho, & Hollywood before Metro makes their final decision in the coming weeks. Grab some k line swag, coffee, & pastries on your way to work. 🚇📢🪧👏🏻

They may not be full protected bike lanes (yet) but excited existing bike lanes in #WeHo are getting the high visibility green treatment soon! The temporary markings out on the streets show where future green paint will go shortly. 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲 #bikelanws
These would be just east of WeHo, but would speed up transit + improve reliability on Metro route 2 to/from #WeHo during rush hour similar to the recent La Brea lanes. I’m excited to see more of these going in & could not be more supportive. 🚌💨🤩 Details here: www.weho.org/Home/Compone...
Flying out of Burbank for the first time in awhile today. Nice to see the progress on the replacement terminal. I’ll miss the short walk from the Metrolink station, but thankful there still won’t be jet bridges so we’ll keep the novelty of walking up to the plane. 🛫🚞 🤓
End of an era! Stopped by the City maintenance yard to pick up the last sign for a speed limit above 30 mph in WeHo today! Thinking I’ll put this up at my desk and use it as a zoom background… 🧐
Not a fan of being recorded, but I am proud we were able to reduce speed limits Citywide in WeHo. Fountain was the first major street to go from 35mph to the new Citywide max of 30mph (the other major streets have since followed) and much bigger changes are in the works! youtu.be/bk7FZ1KXkUs?...

Not sure when google maps added these transit direction Home Screen and Dynamic Island widgets but they’re pretty cool! 🚇 🗺️🤩
Our quest to ride all the long distance Amtraks continues with the Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle! 🚞
Rode the last of the interurbans while we were in Chicago! The US used to have 1,500 interurban lines between cities and towns covering 16,000 miles of track and only this 90 mile line in Indiana and Illinois remains operating more like commuter rail these days.🚃🤓
Finally biked the lakefront trail to Hollywood Beach! As an Angeleno, lake beaches are confusing but the trail was great!
Can any Chicago folk weigh in on the SSL website and google disagreeing on eastbound departure times? 10:30 & 11:45 departures don’t seem to exist in google maps? Always wanted to take the South Shore Line (the last interurban!) and have a friend in Indiana we’re debating getting coffee with Monday
@ladotofficial.bsky.social testing out upgraded protected bike lane barriers around the corner from us. Concrete is so much more protective than flimsy plastic bollards or paint. Take their survey and tell them these are great and we need them citywide here: form.typeform.com/to/mKQsn7LQ?...
Denali National Park has a pretty cool ‘lil bus system dating back to the 70’s. It’s less pleasant in the rain though… 😅🚌🏔️
Highly encourage any WeHo or nearby residents to come to this community meeting on Tuesday! We'll be sharing the latest on the City's first protected bike lanes and other safety improvements. 🚲📆✌🏻
Another CicLAvia in the bag! Great (as always) but wish these were every Sunday… 🚲✨🥰
New fare gates are up at Vermont/Santa Monica. It seems like they are set to require tap out which was a surprise. Still saw plenty of people use the emergency exits so unclear what the benefit of these will be on reducing fare evasion if that’s their purpose...
Checking out the updated transit connections to LAX this morning! Signage has definitely improved on the Metro C Like (green) since I rode it last!
We may only have 3 blocks of La Brea in WeHo, but I’m excited we were able to extend the Metro automated bus lane enforcement pilot program to keep Metro Route 212 & City of West Hollywood Cityline Commuter buses moving on both sides of the City limit. 📸🚌💨 wehotimes.com/bus-lane-enf...
