Is @letterboxd.social broken for other people, or is it just me? When I try to log a movie, the review box often closes mid-sentence, drops me down to the search box, and forgets all my text... It's been like that for a few days now.
I love how Joe Hisaishi composed the soundtracks for Takeshi Kitano's "Hana-bi" and for Miyazaki's "Princess Mononoke" at roughly the same time. Lots of common motifs and melodies, yet they're both unique. music.apple.com/us/album/han...

I just had a mini scare after reading this (very thorough) article about ticks by @jmingle.bsky.social when I saw ticks on the next page. Well played, NYT! Also the article illustration is v creepy, it's great.
The AI effect on Amazon has been tremendous. According to one study, the number of books published per month has tripled since ChatGPT was released. www.nber.org/system/files...
I would also just point out that there are way more people awake and moving at 6PM than at 6AM... In the end I don't care which time we pick, *as long as we stop changing twice a year*.
