This is what covert fascism looks like. The notion that rules on single sex spaces are to 'help services [...] comply with the Equality Act' is legalese nonsense. EA2010 was never about dictating who could access what spaces.

At the height of the madness, from which I think we are now in merciful and terminal retreat, a Scottish schoolboy announced that he identified as a wolf and was apparently indulged in this fantasy by his teachers. There was a confusion here — a kind of ideologyversus-reality disconnect, as so often happens with lifestyle-left intersectional idiocies.
If the teachers had truly believed the child was a wolf he would have been separated from the rest of the pupils by extremely robust metal fencing and thrown chunks of raw bison every few hours. Of course the school did not do that, meaning that in truth, and contrary to the approved narrative, it did not really think he was a wolf.
At the same time reports surfaced of other British schools where kids were identifying as a multitude of creatures, real and imagined, such as cats, horses, dinosaurs and dragons. One assumes that in each case the schools responded similarly, by pretending to respect these expressions of the fictional condition “species dysphoria” but in reality not believing it for a minute. Let's be very clear. What Amnesty have done here isn't just bad for the trans community. This is bad for every single persecuted minority in the world because they have shown that money and threats will remove opposition to persecution. Think about it.

Commentary I'm seeing on Facebook seems to suggest some people consider a leadership contest 'in-fighting'.
I know some of the people targeted and they are the most compassionate teachers and trade unionists. It's disgusting how they have been smeared for criticising the actions of Israel.

There's this young social media couple I see pop up on TikTok. They can be funny in a goofy way. I've just seen a video of the woman saying 'when I snap my fingers you'll forget your gay'. I commented it was homophobic then saw the post had 7k likes (almost double her other recent posts).
I liked this guy when he called out anti-trans bias in the media but then realised he was working directly with an anti-trans propagandist. Emily Maitliss implied she had been instrumental in closing the Tavistock Clinic and the BBC had a *pro-trans bias* so didn't value her work on it.

I really liked Monica Lennon before. If she'd won the leadership contest against Sarwar, Scottish Labour might have maintained some respect from me. But standing on that manifesto while claiming to be an ally shows she's no better than Baillie or Sarwar.
Imagine being Monica Lennon: positioning yourself as the most pro-trans Scottish Labour candidate left but going on to stand on the most transphobic manifesto we've seen, *losing your seat* then going on to stand for leadership. Brass neck seems an understatement.
