I attended Savannah's workshop at Peckham Digital last month and it was hands down the most fun & accessible TouchDesigner workshop I've been to; it's finally given me the motivation to try and dig into this monster 😅 It's our last event in London for the year and I'd love to see many of you there!

It always struck me (and everyone else) as odd that J. K. Rowling chose to call the Bulgarian character of HP Viktor Krum. Let's dissect that a bit. These are two first names, a basically impossible combo in Bulgarian. We've got a gendered language, in fact a highly gendered one. 1/

I am really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward the trans community. We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect? Trans people are human beings — and they deserve to live in dignity like anyone else.

In all the discourse on AI vs software eng, I keep seeing variations on the same: 'AI can't do scalable, secure code and that's what devs do'. I'd love to see more on the creativity of writing code, grounding it in being human and real-world experiences. I don't think devs are scalability machines.

It's been over 3 years since we got the masterpiece that is 'Twenty-five twenty-one' and really what has been going since then? ☠️ Did we reach peak k-drama in 2022? I really want to watch something good again, like actually good. Not 'When the stars gossip', what was that even.. 😵

Next meetup is up 👾!! We'll be at the Cave (London) again 🕑 2pm~ on 🗓️ Sat 5th April Regulars Victoria and Mark will talk about some cutting edge uses of quantum computing in the arts, including showing us quantum-infused musical instruments. 🎹. We are so excited about this one~ lu.ma/2bvp84e5

Despairing over my Mac screen being toast after my cat🐈‍⬛ bit a corner and left a tiny tent that disturbed many lines of pixels, which now flicker constantly... finding solace on reddit where *multiple* people on one thread have had the exact same issue 🥲

"Tomorrow and I" turned out to be one of the best sci-fi's I've seen. I never use the over-used words 'thought provoking' but can't think of a better way to describe it. Not like anything else I've seen; that final ep left me with all sorts of feelings. Think about what tomorrow has to be for 'you'

This one will be more of a ‘let’s learn together’ chill session, and led just by me. I started experimenting with Three.js again recently, after not getting the chance to look at it for over a year, and am excited to share what I’ve learnt and create more fun stuff with you 👾✨
