Just received the terrible news that Bob Rusche past away. Bob was very important for underground music in the Netherlands. He gave small bands airplay on his radio show X-Rated and was present at many shows. But most important: Bob was a wonderful person. We will miss him dearly. Rest in Power

Thanks, but your description contradicts my experience. In practice your system heavily interferes with meaningful editorial control over reviewer invitations, which goes to the core of peer-review integrity. This isn't a 'communication shortfall'—it's a systemic choice you made.

2/3 By design, the Associate Editor’s expertise and reviewer invitations always take precedence. The peer-review system is built to support the editor’s decisions, and you retain the ability to revoke, replace, or invite additional reviewers at any point in the process.

Over the last month I saw that human editors are now stripped of control. I could no longer stop the system from auto-inviting "reviewers" with zero relevant expertise. Even worse - the AI began actively revoking the invitations I manually sent out to actual, qualified experts.

I am sending an open letter to Thermo Fisher. Their response to my response to their manipulated western blot is bullying and petty. Yes, this western blot really is manipulated, it is unfair on me to say otherwise. I don't make those accusations lightly, and I have a (minor) reputation to defend.
