The German government is co-financing major repairs of four apartment buildings as well as the construction of a new residential building in the Kyiv region through the German state-owned development bank KfW. The work is carried out by IOM Ukraine.

Germany has donated 10 sets of hydraulic rescue equipment via the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. The equipment will help to deal with the aftermath of Russian attacks.

The Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has also received eight modern Mitsubishi pickup trucks from Germany’s Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). They are now being used by communities in the Nikopol, Synelnykiv and Dnipro districts to respond more quickly to emergencies.

According to the Federal Press and Information Office: Chancellor Merz congratulated Ukraine's new Prime Minister, Koretskyi. He apparently also gave him some advice: “To further strengthen Ukraine’s European perspective, I would like to encourage you to pursue a determined reform agenda”.

Preliminary figures from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs just made public show that arms export licences with deliveries intended for Ukraine worth ~€2.52 billion were granted in the first half of 2026, with Ukraine being the top recipient by a large gap once again.

Reuters is reporting that Germany is funding the production of 50,000 Shrike FPV UAVs, worth ~€90 million for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian manufacturer SkyFall has confirmed Germany's involvement. Deliveries have already begun and are to be completed by the end of 2026.
