MAYA ANGELOU 📚 Maya Angelou was a poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist born in St. Louis, Missouri. She’s published seven autobiographies, three books of essays, and several books of poetry.
Sister Rosetta Tharpe was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist known as the “Godmother of Rock-And-Roll.” She’s one of the first gospel musicians to become a major recording artist. She influenced early rock n roll musicians like Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley.
