Molly's confidence really blossomed during the two weeks of my Summer School. I always like doing an 'ice breaker' exercise with my Summer School Students on the first day. It helps everyone get to know each other!

Some of the things I've done recently: - I was out all last week speaking to voters in Oldham East and Saddleworth in the run-up to the Greater Manchester Mayoral by-election. Fantastic result with Bev not only winning across Greater Manchester but also winning across Oldham.

A wonderful group of young people joined me for my 13th annual #workingforyourcommunity #summerschool this year. A week packed with events at #OldhamTheatreWorkshop, #FCHO, @oldhamcouncil.bsky.social, #MediaCity, a visit to @ukparliament.parliament.uk, and so much more.

Had an absolutely fabulous time in #Uppermill to celebrate #yorkshireday2026 A big thank you to Saddleworth Round Table and Rotary Saddleworth for organising the day.

Many people will be aware of the deeply concerning humanitarian situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Recent developments have seen peaceful protestors fired upon, causing deaths and injuries. Constituents of Kashmiri heritage will be particularly worried about the safety of family members there.

I have really enjoyed getting to know Summer School Students like Lucy.

On Friday I was in Greenfield to check on my constituents following the fire at Dove Stone Reservoir. We visited residents close to Dove Stone to see how they'd been impacted by the smoke from the fire.
