Middle class life in 1949! Not sure how that fitted in with my mum's going-out-to-work day! "2 ½ hours for the daily tidying, 4 hours for shopping, cooking and washing-up 3 hours for house cleaning, washing and other big jobs’ plus baking,, doing the flowers, keeping accounts and entertaining😁

St David's church Hundleton. It was built in 1933 in the Romanesque style, in vogue in the early 1930s. Stained glass includes work by Celtic studios (1970s). It’s a lovely modern church and the windows are stunning #StainedGlassSunday

As often happens, researching a named nurse has been so rewarding! Blog to follow soon but from just a surname I’ve found an indomitable,independent woman and in researching discovered her sister was a famous suffragette and her brother a doctor. Incredible story! #womenshistory #NursingHistory
