There may well be active duty troops in the Middle East right now who have family members locked in ICE jails. Congress authorized Military Parole-in-Place specifically to avoid this situation. But the Trump admin has shown little care to families caught in this situation.

The EU response to the Ceuta incident has further demonstrated the moral and strategic bankruptcy of its members, who on matters migration have only one idea - raise the drawbridge, bribe problematic neighbours to be border guards then feign surprise when it backfires.

Breaking: Another victim, Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo, has died in ICE custody at Delaney Hall prison after being denied vital medication and family visits. Depriving sick detainees of care until they die is murder by neglect. We demand complete transparency and justice for Edwin! 🎥 Statuscoup

I am looking for two papers on the topic of distributive equality to assign in an MA class. Suggestions? They should ideally pair well together and be sufficiently complex to provoke discussion.

“We work hard, we pay our taxes, we give back to our communities and we are a big part of the engine that keeps the United States workforce in many essential industries moving,” writes Haitian #TPS holder Josiane Valsaint. “We deserve to stay here, with our families and loved ones.”
