This industry is tough, so we have to be tougher. The video flopped? We try again next week. No growth in months? We change something. It worked for them, why not me? Comparison is the thief of joy. Also, please be kinder to yourself. Dreams take longer than deadlines.
You won't be liked by everyone. I lost so much of my 20's desperately trying to get the validation of people, who now, I don't even talk to. The second you place your sense of peace or happiness in someone else's hands, you'll spend your entire life chasing that high.
IMMERSION BREAK I streamed to ~5 people for years and would never have believed you if you told me that one day I would be celebrating 2 years of being Twitch Partner. Please don't give up. Also whoever didn't stop the snapchat filters or bear face, you're a fake friend.
I've enjoyed living in my drama-free bubble but in an attempt to make new friendships I've tried to engage into "VTuber content" and the ageism in this space is truly daunting. "Pushing 30 btw" God forbid you have any interests after you leave your 20's.
