aboud also gave me permission to share the message he sent when the news of the ceasefire was announced. the joy is mixed with immense pain because of all that they lost & will continue to lose under occupation. please, please don't stop helping & fighting for palestinian liberation

I survived, my friends." 2: "On Sunday there will be a ceasefire, I can't believe that I survived this holocaust with Zeina and my mother, I still can't believe that 15 months we have been exterminated and dying and now we have reached the end of this war. I am crying I don't know what to say but I will write a book explaining everything all my sorrows and pains and my longing for my life before the war, for my destroyed home and for many of my family members that I lost. Please stay by my side even if the war ends so that we can turn the chapters of pain into hope. I love you a big hug leave me so I can cry a little on my pillow 💔"

aboud has been messaging me about the ceasefire; he is crying from gladness at having survived this far, but is also distraught at all he has lost & that he has not raised enough to get the eye surgery he desperately needs in egypt. the ceasefire CANNOT be the end of our support for folks in gaza
