I think about this quote every day: "One party is so committed to its ideological objectives that it is willing to violate the Constitution to achieve them. The other is so ambivalent about its own goals that it fetishizes procedural obstacles to their enactment."

Georgia hasn't elected a Democratic Governor since 1998. From 2002 to 2022, it's been only Republicans. If Keisha Lance Bottoms wins this, it's a true shifting of the tides in Georgia & nationally historic, as the first Black woman ever elected governor of any state.

Reminder that some of us were screaming earlier this yr (& last yr) that Trump would attempt to stop mail ballots & intimidate voters. Shout-out to Emily Sirota & CO Dems for HB26-1113 that was specifically designed to protect Colorado elections. Other states aren't as lucky

In 2028, if Democrats run a Kamala Harris 2.0 against this version of Tucker Carlson's populism, we lose in a landslide. People want someone who fights the establishment. Another cautious, corporate, pro-war Democrat campaign will end in another defeat against this.

Hilarious & embarrassing. Lisa Calderón responds to Mike Johnston's reelection launch video w/ an AI generated message You can tell b/c: 1) apostrophes instead of quotes for "open frontier" 2) double em dashes 3) "just-economy" 4) Use of "three examples then NOT x" structure

IMO no question AOC would instantly consolidate the Left if she runs for President in 2028. She's the most electric, movement-defining figure we have & the Lefty base would rally behind her But if she sits it out, who wins that base instead?

Hakeem Jeffries can't even keep moderates like Jared Golden & Marie Gluesenkamp Perez in line. So why should progressives back such a weak Speaker if he can't deliver? Hakeem is at his weakest point right now. No reason to marry the House Majority to him. Find a replacement!

Mamdani: +70 approval rating. Fetterman: -50 approval rating. If you're a political consultant who still favors Fetterman's approach over Mamdani's, you're wildly out of step with the Democratic base. Retire, or at the very least, sit down and shut up.
