It's Primary Day! Have you voted? Remember polls are open until 7:00PM. Your employer has to give you time to vote. If you are in line when polls close at 7:00 p.m. you are entitled to stay in line until you get to cast your vote. And it is no one else's business who you voted for. Full stop
The weather couldn't be better for some good trouble-making today! Join us Downtown Wichita at Douglas & Broadway, 10AM. Bring your signs Bring your voices We are all in this together
Pay attention to the distraction we created, not the problems we created. 🤦♀️ If we don't talk about it doesn't exist, right?
TAPPER: Iran has declared the Strait of Hormuz closed. Is that true? TRUMP: It's open as far as we're concerned. Don't talk about it. Talk about the reason you asked me to speak.
STEPPING UP Colin Kaepernick is funding an independent autopsy so Nolan Wells’ family can get answers they can trust. Tyler Perry is covering Nolan’s funeral so the family can focus on grieving instead of worrying about the bill. They didn’t have to do this. They chose to, and that matters.
Some leaders actually work in the people interest, not their own.
Keeping eyes on the sky. Looks like a morning storm will be through the Wichita area shortly. They should be clearing out around 10:00 a.m. and we WILL proceed as planned with today's protest. (If lightning is present we will encourage everyone to stay in their cars until it passes.)
We the People = #AllOfUs and today in Wichita we're standing up and saying loud and proud! Join us at 10AM at Douglas & Broadway for Protest & Pride. Then walk with us to Main Street where we'll celebrate with our LGBTQIA+ community as the Wichita Pride Parade heads towards Century II. Join us!
It feels like every day brings another reason to be frustrated. It's easy to wonder whether showing up still matters. It does.. Saturday is about reminding our community that ALL OF US means ALL OF US. Every person deserves dignity, respect, freedom, and the chance to belong & to be celebrated.
