Given that approximately 40% of unhoused youth in the US are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, this flat-out extortion of an essential nonprofit is diabolically evil. The White House coercing the NCMEC into erasing all references to queer and trans kids puts them at even more risk of exploitation.

New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.

The Cass Report doesn't exist because of concerns about trans healthcare provision, it exists because there were gender critical politicians at Health and Equalities in the UK Govt. That's direct from the Minister for Equalities herself.

I'm glad people CAN purchase LGBTQIA+ merch from big stores these days, but as an LGBTQIA+ business owner who staffs queer people, if you have the spare moment to look for queer small business in June, 100% of that money goes toward queer survival, versus a 10% tax write off for big corporations.
