We serve as a resource for DeKalb County Democratic Committee members and the public on LGBTQ+ issues at the local level.
We helped draft an amendment to DeKalb’s NDO that better defines gender identity and puts some teeth into enforcement. Public comment ends 8:00am Tuesday October 6, 2026. Call or email your county commissioners with input. Questions - email lgbtq@dekalbdems.com

DeKalb’s LGBTQ+ folks deserve equal rights & equal protection! Michelle Long Spears and Dr. LaDena Bolton have supported police LGBTQ+ awareness training, hate-crimes training, and LGBTQ+ representation in county decision-making. Keyanna Jones Moore will add another pro-equality voice to the Board.

We're voting for Penny Brown Reynolds. “My campaign is built on the belief that Georgia is for all of us. That includes LGBTQ+ Georgians." Her opponent, Rep. Tim Fleming, voted for anti-LGBTQ+ bills in Georgia, and has said "I've always been there for Donald Trump." #gapolitics #midtermelections
