I recently reread the Hobbit for the first time in decades, and I actually found it to be kinda hard to read in my head. But rather than saying it's not for children, I'd actually say it should be read aloud. Most of my reading isn't "voiced" in my head, but the Hobbit needed it.

The big literary discourse on twitter right now is whether The Hobbit—a children’s book that won children’s lit awards and was literally written for the author’s children—is appropriate reading for children or in fact such a difficult book most adults can’t “get their head around” it.

Taylor and I have each asked to not be woken up when it happens, at least if the celebratory fireworks don't wake us up. I want to enjoy that day as much as possible, and I think I'll enjoy it more if I'm rested.

Mina the Hollower is too hard for me, and it's a little bummer that the difficulty modifiers disable achievements, but I'm having way more fun with a few of them on.

Anyone getting weird likes from accounts that: 1. you don't follow and don't follow you 2. they like 3 of your posts 3. the account posted a year or two so and then stopped 4. they now only repost porn I've gotten a handful that fit that exact pattern.
