Important read on how neutral regulators are being challenged by the Newsom Administration in California. Sadly, Newsom criticizes Trump for such actions, yet mimics the behavior.
In an overt act of political meddling, Newsom and his deputies are pressuring a judge to retract evidence-based findings on the Sites Reservoir Project. But the facts are clear: the project cannot operate as proposed without harm to rivers, fish & ecosystems: mavensnotebook.com/2026/06/23/p...

Sad that the Newsom Administration is trying to setup tunnel planning as a done deal for next Governor with a ballooning deficit, and more Californians in need than ever. The Delta tunnel won’t deliver more water with climate change, unless the State plan is to deplete Nor Cal rivers of all life.
The Delta Tunnel is a 45‑mile tunnel that would divert water from Northern California to Southern California, and even though Delta residents, farmers, and fishermen are against it, Governor Newsom is not. How much more is California going to sacrifice for a tunnel to nowhere?

The Delta was once home to one of the nation’s largest commercial salmon fisheries that fed Americans and employed the region’s diverse population. Restoring water for salmon runs is restorative for the region’s people as it will improve water quality for all.
