I love developing my game backwards, spending days polishing tiny details before the core gameplay is ready. Here's a rework of the wind gusts and its particles, a bit more subtle, but it now feels more natural and soothing. #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
No words needed. I just enjoy looking at this #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
Just chilling in a totally normal cave I found. Nothing to worry about #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
The first snow. Watch it start to settle #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
Making things smooother. Glyphs now fade instead of popping in/out with camera movements, and character's walk is not so jittery too. All that flickering was really annoying while playing. #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
Working on cave design. It's pretty hard to make an entrance distinguishable. Trying this moss outline and hanging roots. #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
Walking on fresh ice is fun until it isn't #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
When spring is finally here, going far from home can be dangerous but fruitful. Sometimes all you need is just a plunge in the river. #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
When a storm comes, it's always better to run back into the burrow. It's warm and safe there, and the big flashes won't scare you anymore. It's always better to be safe. #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
Winters can be harsh, with freezing temperatures forcing you deeper underground and scarce resources that you had to stock up in advance. #indiedev #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev
188 KB of the game. No textures, no meshes, no sprites, no samples, no assets at all except for the voice-over audio which is +2.8 MB. An experience that is short but complete in every aspect, looking, feeling, and sounding pretty decent, can be condensed in under 3MB. #gamedev #indiedev #horror
Phew, just finished my little horror ASCII game! It's a short story about exploring the depths of the Southern Ocean in a submarine. You can play it here (it's free): haldane4.denisbondare.com #gamedev #horror #ascii #indiedev #solodev #retrogaming
Just got my first ever youtube let's play of my game! Someone found the game on reddit, played it 4(!) times to find all the endings, gave me a lot of great feedback, and even made a whole 30min video. This is so cool! youtu.be/1PFEuSDaT_Y #gamedev #horror #retrogaming

I gotta get back to work but I keep torturing this strudel snippet #dnb #creativecoding #beatmaking
I keep enjoying using Strudel. Feels like being a kid trying Basic for the first time haha #creativecoding #livecoding #junglemusic
My tiniest task manager. I like the idea of a task bucket, you drop in random stuff you need to do, and when you have time, you pull one out and do it. I just made a small local app for this. Adding tasks is easy at any moment with a hotkey. I really love minimalistic apps haha
I just opened the repo of my tiny horror game that runs in the terminal. You can play it with python. Story: in the 80s, a deep cave was found but couldn't be explored. A robot was sent 3km down. You're the engineer controlling it from the surface. #gamedev #ascii #horrorgame #indiedev
Wanted to try something new. I like that it's that simple, mostly just sine waves, and only 29 lines of code. Shifting arpeggio notes 4 chords behind was accidental, but turned out surprisingly well and I kept it. #strudel #music #livecoding #creativecoding
First time trying Strudel. Spent half a day reading docs and playing around. So fun! Also I love the McCulloch interview, I think it aged so well, go watch it.
If I didn't need to earn money, I'd definitely spend years making hundreds of tiny games alone, hidden in some cave on a picturesque mountain. #gamedev
Apparently, Midjourney is unaware of the "brain rot" term. Who would've thought it'd be the last aesthetic humanity kept organic. The frontier of human culture if you will.
