Spent the afternoon devouring "Empire of Secrets" by @sampson.bsky.social. A bit harrowing in places yet a satisfying conclusion. My personal favorite parts were the recurring mystical badger and the pizza bear who got a tiny bit of recognition after all.

Made the mistake of trying to find a chart about inflation by searching for inflation on here and got a reminder that while most people think Bluesky is a place for politics, it's actually a place for furries to jack off

I'm not at all sure being a mischievous and libidinous old badger on the internet is the proper response to such a horrid world at the moment. Certainly it shouldn't be the only response. But it does seem that the best way to keep one's freedoms is to exercise them with vigor.
