Worked midnight to noon the last 5 nights and thought I was going in again last night. Went to bed at 4pm, got a page at 8pm while I was sleeping that I didn’t have to go in, so I just pushed though and slept to 5am. Close enough. Reset my sleep schedule in one night. Just up early on Sunday.

Rush was incredible last night. Seriously, they still got it. Impeccable playing. Production was top notch. Anika Nilles is such a badass. Seeing 2112 performed in its entirety to open set 2, I can’t even begin to describe it. They were having the time of their life on stage playing together.

Set some dates and pitched this as a group trip to some friends and got resounding yesses from all of them! Now I just have to keep them on the hook for the next 15 months. Easier said than done, but I have a good feeling about it.

Over the weekend I reconnected with a cousin of my mom’s who works at Zion National Park with her husband, both as park rangers. Hadn’t seen/heard from her in probably a decade. She said come visit anytime, and they’ll put me up at their house. So that trip will be happening in 2027.

seeing Rush this week. Never thought it would happen. I had written them off as one of those bands that I just missed my window on, especially once Neil passed. We’ve all got those bands. We got into them a little too late, or figured we’d catch them on the next tour, only for there to never be one.
