Woah, Wisconsin congressional ads spilling into western suburbs of Minneapolis. Those 10pm PAC ad rates can’t be cheap
Listening to Television’s Marquee Moon now feels like discovering Cameron Winter’s origin story.
Was Steven Miller’s plan with all of those industrial warehouse purchase by ICE just his version of the Shawshank Redemption warden’s prison labor scam?
Every intern presentation today has included some variation of “wow, I had no idea how much I needed SQL skills.” It is shocking how little SQL is included in university curriculum today despite its enduring use in the corporate world. If they added some set theory, too, then we’d be cooking.
There are six people on stage at work talking about corporate culture. The only one I trust is the woman who has spoken the least. With a quiet word, she could move nations. The other five? If all five pitched in, they could move a sofa across the room.
Being a Midwesterner means your concept of what a 16:9 aspect ratio screen really looks like is skewed by adjusting the bottom 10th of the screen for a constantly scrolling storm warning
I feel like the most accurate thing about the Icotyde pharma ad is the male doctor continuously and casually ignoring what his female patient is trying to say.
MNUFC expects people to pay $60 to watch Lou Gramm perform in a construction zone? WTF is even going on with this team?
Why does Gianni Infantino believe Marco Rubio can save his job at FIFA? Does he think he can get Trump to tariff or bomb his way into owning the World Cup? Also, what was world football expecting when they elected someone named Johnny Baby to lead FIFA? Of course he was going to rob the game.
Courtney Williams midrange game is ridiculous. This Lynx-Fever game is a treat to watch.
AI might be better than you at a host of things, but it doesn’t mean AI is actually good at these things. A human is bad at a wide array of things. It doesn’t take much for AI to feel like magic. If you can’t independently verify your ChatGPT answer, maybe you aren’t qualified to use that answer.
Al systems without accountability become extortion tools waiting to be abused. And there is no power a government is granted that it won’t eventually try to abuse. AI isn’t an extinction threat for no reason. It is trained on humanity’s biased and bloody history. Who controls this power matters.
Iran follows US politics really well. An Iranian cyberattack on Minnesota water treatment plants has Trump railing at Minnesota instead of Iran. Iran doesn’t need to fight the US. It just needs to stir up enough shit to get Americans fighting each other, and they knew Trump would take the bait.
If today were winter instead of summer, we’d be looking at 12-18 inches of new snow right now. Le Sueur would be under 4-6 feet of snow. 😬
Googling “Bon Dylan Eaux Claires” really messes with search results because they assume you misspelled everything but Dylan 😂
I find it beyond funny that a hedge fund named Situational Awareness couldn’t see its own cash crunch coming. www.cnbc.com/2026/07/30/l...
AI investor Leopold Aschenbrenner forced to unwind all public stock positions after steep losses, sources say
Leopold Aschenbrenner's hedge fund has sold all of its public stock holdings, according to people familiar with the matter.

Sometimes that’s the point. The flavor is purple, not grape.
We know faithfulness is not a trait for Appalachian Trail Mark Sanford, so this “American” flag in his Senate ad with a blue field across its entire span and stripes that are both vertical AND horizontal is par for the course. AI slop can’t get the most basic thing about America right. What a joke.
TFW your body’s medical history says you’ll be the first in your family to die, but your body’s mental trauma history says you’ll live long enough to watch everyone you ever loved die first. I decided to laugh at the absurdity of the thought instead of dwelling on its plausibility.
This is a pretty sweet set of one-off shows I’ve been fortunate enough to see of @boniverwi.bsky.social through the years.
Received my White Stripes Live in Tasmania vinyl from @thirdmanrecords.bsky.social. Gorgeous trifold cover (top of 1st photo shows outer, bottom of it shows inner). It came with a pack of trading cards, reminding me of these KISS cards I collected as a kid (and my mom saved for some reason 😂)
I spent all day in the heat at Eaux Claires today. I’m just tired enough to not know if I just watched an episode of South Park about queefing or if I’m hallucinating from heat stroke.
In 1953 the US began Atoms for Peace *and* staged a coup in Iran, signed Iran to AfP in 1957, built a still-functioning nuclear reactor for Tehran that became operational in 1967, lost control of Iran’s puppet regime in 1979, and been at war with Iran ever since www.nytimes.com/2026/07/22/w...
Coveted U.S. Nuclear Deal Is a Coup for Saudi Crown Prince (Gift Article)
Saudi Arabia had for years sought the controversial deal to obtain American nuclear technology. It is expected to be sealed on Wednesday, deepening U.S.-Saudi ties for decades to come.
