Horrible historical events aside, here’s my unwarranted thoughts on Stranger Things 5. I did really enjoy most of this season. The action was all great, the Will reveal with the big demo battle was hype, and a lot of emotional beats landed for me. Mostly happy with it all. MOSTLY

To close out the year, here’s some rapid fire reviews. First, Ghost of Yotei. I platinum’d it. It was fantastic. I truly lost myself in this world, and took entirely too many screenshots. Weirdly enough, it wasn’t the end that made me tear up, it was the bonfire scene before it.

Howdy Blutarch. What’s your year of entertainment looking like? For me, I just finished Invincible, loving Yellowjackets and Daredevil, hyped for AC: Shadows, enjoying Avowed, enjoying Monster Hunter Wilds (though it’s UI is quite overwhelming), and looking forward to a great year in gaming overall.

Finally finished Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. Matter of fact, I 100% completed it with all achievements. That was an absolutely fantastic game. Globe trotting story with fantastic set pieces, combat, puzzles, and exploration. It also satisfied my completionism with the collectible maps. 😁

Fun fact: about a year into working on DATV, I bought myself a Varric statue. Ironically enough, as soon as I got it I ended up accidentally dropping Bianca and it broke similarly to how it does in the game. Life imitates art?

Hey folks. As of today, I am no longer with BioWare. However, I am sticking with the wonderful team at Motive Studios for the foreseeable future. Got a fantastic project cooking here. I’ll miss my BW family, but the hope is that I’ll make my way back to ME when the time comes.

Finished my FULL play-through of Cyberpunk. Finished it on release and loved it, but now it’s an entirely new game. This may be the best RPG experience on the market with the DLC. Just everything about it is fantastic. PL was mind blowing. The writing is stellar. Characters top notch. I love it all

DATV was my first AAA launch. I think the hardest thing has been learning to live with what you can’t change. There are plenty moments in my scenes that I watch and think “damn, I could have done that much better”. But, it’s shipped, and I’ll just have to live with those issues I never got to fix.

Just finished The Penguin. Fucking hell that was an incredible show. I am simultaneously in love with it and incredibly mad at that ending (in a good way). That was one hell of a character arc. I'd call it DC's Breaking Bad, just not as iconic/groundbreaking. Fantastic show.

Man. I'm trying to make my Reel. But I have a lot of scenes I worked on and I just wanna shove them all into one video. BUT REELS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SHORT AND CONCISE. They're supposed to showcase your best work. I CANT CHOOSE

I bought a retractable mesh dog gate and I swear it's the best purchase I've ever made. Just pull it out, latch it, lock it, and you're done. Cats can still jump it, dogs can't get through it. ITS PERFECT

That was probably the best Game Awards to date. So many incredible titles announced and shown off, really fantastic performances, and some fantastic wins for fantastic teams! This is what The Game Awards should be. A great celebration for the industry.
