What's even the point anymore? Even if I make it another ten years I'll have to deal with ageism.

I'm getting so burned out on cons. Do we really need two at the same venue, run by the same people, six months apart? It makes LVFC not seem special anymore and to look forward to. I've heard rumors that the AP is getting bought and demolished for an F1 resort, so how long is this all going to last?
Cursed prototype I made. It combines a USB-C cable for 27W USB Power Delivery charging, and the data from a USB-A cable for my cars USB port. Wireless Android Auto is so flaky and I want a wired connection, but USB-A can only provide 5W of power. It worked. Going to turn it into a custom PCB.

My outdoor paws are falling apart a second time (I've already redone them once). He just doesn't make me happy like he did a year ago.

Everyone thinks AI is just just hoovering up all of the RAM and storage, but no. It is consuming everything adjacent to it. All the raw materials for making PCBs are now longer lead times and double in price from 2025. The FPGAs I need at work are a one year lead time. We are so undeniably fucked.

AC went out. Turns out there was a loose connection on my breaker and with it being 45⁰ C out, and the breaker rated for 60⁰ C, it didn't stand a chance. Took the opportunity to tighten up all the breakers and now it is sitting 20⁰ C lower where it should be. Invest in a thermal camera!
An honest update: If you want to sit in front of your computer and play games, then it is great! However, Steam is still stuck in the past with Wayland support, so if you want to stream to a Steam Deck or Steam Link, then your life is going to be miserable. Going back to Windows for now... 😢
Malloc 🔜 ASC@derg.io · last mo.Going all in on Linux. Gaming PC was last one. Wiping drive and installing Bazzite. Been so enamored with SteamOS and streaming from my PC. I don't play any games with anti-cheat, and all the games I care about are Gold or Platinum on ProtonDB. Might keep Mint on my laptop for the time being though.
