WONDROUS WASP WEDNESDAY The asymmetrical costume; people either love or hate it! What do you all think? It is a bit strange looking, but I fall into the “love it” category. The costume definitely has its fans; it has returned multiple times over the years, with a couple of different artists.

WONDROUS WASP WEDNESDAY Another colour variant of the costume design Wasp used mostly frequently in the 80s when she served as team leader of the Avengers. This yellow-and-black version is the one she used most, and the one that looks best, imo.

Wasp, at nearly full size, flies past Jarvis to head for the sub-basement of Avengers MansionWasp tells Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) to step aside, so she can have the first crack at Mr. Hyde. Wasp hits Mr. Hyde with a sting blast right between his eyes, causing him to blindly rampage around trying (and failing) to hit her.

IMPERIAL GUARDIANS #5 by Dan Abnett and Marcelo Ferreira. Final issue of the series that got cut short when Marvel decided to axe the post-IMPERIAL cosmic line. A shame, since this book was really starting to get good.

WONDROUS WASP WEDNESDAY We have never actually seen Janet wear this in-story. It only ever appeared on a viewscreen image of all of the heroes who had gone missing in Infinity Gauntlet #2. Perhaps some day it will make its in-story debut. It's certainly eye catching with those bright colours.

The Wasp in a bright pink-and-yellow outfit. It is a close-up of an image taken from a monitor tallying the number of heroes who vanished in Thanos' snap of the Infinity Gauntlet

THIS is the photo posted on our local newspaper's website with the article regarding a road closure nearby due to a 'weapons investigation'. Um....what exactly is the focus of that photo supposed to be? I mean, I know what I am focusing on, but I'm not sure if that was the intent...?

A police officer stands with his arms spread, seemingly talking to someone who isn't visible in the picture. In the foreground is the backside of another police officer from the shoulders down, with his well curved rear just off to the side of the center of the photo. The center of the photo is just a blurry background.

Today is the Pride Parade here in London, Ontario. I can't make it to the parade this year, but I hope everyone marching and watching on the sidelines has a safe and happy Pride! I'm glad the wildfire smoke cleared from the air before the parade.

various Marvel superheroes marching in a Pride parade, with a huge rainbow flag trailing along behind them.

The poor air quality alert from wildfire smoke the last couple of days makes it feel like Ontario is under attack by these guys....

Three armoured villains calling themselves Smog Alert attack with their gas weapons.

WONDROUS WASP WEDNESDAY This great looking costume debuted back in 1979. Its got a large open section in the back to accommodate her wings. I'm just surprised Jan didn't incorporate a "W" insignia somewhere on this suit.

STARFOX Appreciation Post Eros is an entertaining contradiction. A hedonistic playboy -- but with a strong sense of duty to stop his evil relatives Thanos and Nebula and bring them to justice. He has a wanderlust, frequently travelling to new places in search of both adventure and romance.

WONDROUS WASP WEDNESDAY This outfit (from AVENGERS #161 in 1977) is more risque than most of Wasp's outfits...intentionally so. Jan's marriage to Hank Pym was going through a rough patch, and she designed an extra sexy costume for herself to try and grab Hank's attention.

Janet Van Dyne admiring herself in the mirror, wearing a lavender costume with purple boots and silver bracelets. The costume has a lot of exposed skin, with cut-outs from the hips all the way down the sides of the legs, and the top is essentially just a bra connecting to the pants.Bild

I'm not sure if this doorway design was Alan Davis' idea or something that Starlin put in the script, but kudos to whoever gave Starfox doorways shaped like...that. Perfectly symbolic for Eros.

WONDROUS WASP WEDNESDAY It's Canada Day so we've got one of Jan's red-and-white costumes. A variant of the costume design she wore most often during her stint as Avengers chairman in the 80s. These scans also demonstrate a too often overlooked fact -- Wasp gets STRONGER when she shrinks!
