Monday night library lovers of all ages gathered at Central Library to learn the art of butter sculpting from Sarah Pratt, the official butter sculptor for the Iowa State Fair! Attendees could take home their creations or donate the butter to be recycled into this year's sculpture.

Fun library things you might not know about! The Franklin Avenue Library has a seasonal houseplant propogation library. How it works: 🪴 Bring a cutting from any kind of house plant that water propogates. 🪴 Take a cutting left by another library patron.
It is going to be dangerously hot again! Beginning Saturday, July 25 through the Wednesday, July 29 all DMPL locations will be serving as cooling centers. DART will be providing free rides to designated cooling centers while the extreme temperature plan is activated.
