I just realised I've never even considered the last sentence but like wouldn't that architecture be really complicated to build?
Every time my credit card number is stolen, I think about how they used to pretend to check ID and become weird forensic analysts about your signature (when they felt like it).
Incidentally, "Washington of California" is just everything in Washington east of the Cascades. So many transplants in Spokane in particular.
also that was an honest typo but the universe does things for a reason and Washington of California is now my new go to phrase to describe this
Fun story: I was single for most of my twenties, so I tried online dating. Before a date, a woman asked for a selfie, which I sent. On the date she offhandedly mentions she asked because I didn't have a Facebook account, so she couldn't stalk me ahead of time to see if I was real.
Googling before a first date
I regret to inform you this list is illegitimate. It's missing at least one thing...
[needs to be talked down from seeing everything on Paste's 100 Best Martial Arts Movies of All Time list] [or doesn't need to be talked down] [I don't even know] [lol] www.pastemagazine.com/movies/marti...
I am as much an "influencer" as a butterfly flapping its wings in Central Park. Significantly less than that even, I suspect.
calling yourself an influencer might be the fastest way to never be cool again
I'm just a simple country software developer, so I don't know much about "business", but seems to me, siding with the ideological group that has no actual knowledge of or interest in your product would be a bad decision.
LMAOOOOOOOOOO somebody finally asked the transphobes if they know any WNBA players besides and NOPE
Man, after dinner mints used to be quality.
SATURDAY MORNING SEWER SHARK! Surely THIS is the run! Right? RIGHT? giantbomb.com/videos/this-...

Listen, even if we say at one point in the video that THIS is the run it doesn't mean that it actually will be. OR IT COULD BE THE RUN!

This is still, IMO, the best Box Set Battletech has ever dropped. If I didn't already have a complete set having been gifted me a couple years back, I would go for it.. but I will say if you don't, and want one signed by the artist? And looks to be in great shape. www.facebook.com/john.zelezni...
Who wants to give me enough money to pay Cynthia Rothrock and Michelle Yeoh to re-dub "Yes, Madam (1985)" with some minor changes to make it a prequel to "Honor and Glory (1992)"?
I do recommend trying random shit occasionally. Sometimes the story alone is worth it. *Me trying a mezcal mule for the first time*

This is the absolute best advice I can give anyone. Drink what you enjoy and anyone being snotty about wine is an idiot.

What do you think they're using DirectX for on the giant superweapon?
Memory prices so bad, even Zeon is using old tech in their "cutting edge" mobile armor.
A lot of these companies (Hi Amazon!) have dead ended themselves on this front, and there's zero meaningful innovation occurring. At least we used to ship meaningful iterations of hardware (yeah, *royal* we screwed up the software a bunch, but still...).
of course it turns out that, for all of the issues with AI, this part hasn't really panned out - it has badly damaged worker power in silicon valley, but it hasn't obliterated jobs generally at anywhere near the rate they were aiming for so they're trying to pivot, but the impression stays
*Pulling my head out of the Instant Pot* Sorry, what? Couldn't hear you.

This is a bit of a cheat, as these are just the last 4 I added to the physical media collection. The Rescuers Down Under is one of the first movies I can remember seeing. #lastfourwatched

Just remember, you have to shave your head in order to publish your first BattleTech story. Just ask @swankmotron.com.
Whenever I take over BattleTech, you'll all be sorry.
I'm weirdly fond of the FS9-K as a light dueling mech.
Today in BattleTech Mech Overview, Lynn looks at the two different Firestarters.
This is a math problem, and it's telling when the "anecdote" side won't share their numbers.
98% of people support keeping unnecessary car traffic out of Pike Place. And during the pilot, visitation and sales both increased. @gordonofseattle.bsky.social makes the case for keeping Pike Place people-first year-round. Read op-ed: www.theurbanist.org/op-ed-how-pi... via @theurbanist.org
We're getting ANOTHER MechWarrior 5 Mercs DLC?!! Details drop September 1st apparently. My current dream addition is the Crockett, even though it's not particularly relevant to anything likely to be in the new content.
I regret to inform you Doom 64 is actually a "The Last Starfighter" type recruiting tool, and you just made the cut.
when I load it up, there's a few menu options one is "News" and there's an arrow pointing to it like there's some major new development in the world of Doom 64, which seems unlikely
