I've been letting my kid watch movies on my iPad in the car, and his reactions to the playback control buttons in different streaming apps are hilarious. Apple TV: "Why does it have a bubble?" Disney+: "Why is it so small?" I didn't realize I was raising a tiny UI design critic.

My child's love of reading is due in no small part to the anticipation of receiving a new book in the mail every month from Mrs. Dolly. She's touched countless people through her talent, but it's the endlessness of her giving that I'll remember most. May we each strive to love others so well.

I've never done the "some personal news" thing before, but here we go: Yesterday was my last day at MacStories. I loved getting to write and edit for a website that meant so much to me, and saying goodbye isn't easy, but I have a lot to be thankful for.

My state added support for IDs in the Wallet app a week before I had to renew my license, but I threw caution to the wind and tried it anyway. I'm currently at the DMV, and the Wallet app notified me that my ID was updated before the new card was even finished printing. This system actually works?
