Dozens of gas-burning power plants are being built across the country, solely to power data centers. These plants could emit as much planet-warming pollution as half of all passenger vehicles in the entire country in a single YEAR. We need a data center moratorium — now.

Japanese engineers have developed a new method to recover 90% of lithium from used electric vehicle batteries by swapping standard sodium hydroxide for recovered lithium hydroxide in the chemical refining process. In America, we are making it impossible to afford learning the skills to do this.
