Abdul El-Sayed has never held elected office and just won the primary for a senate seat in the biggest battleground state in the country by beating a congresswoman who was endorsed by the current Senator, Governor, and Schumer & the DSCC while being outspent over 10 to 1. That win is plenty big.

Maybe you're young and don't remember that only 27% of Americans supported same sex marriage 30 years ago. Were they correct in that? In 1989, 84% opposed it. Being in the majority doesn't always mean you are correct.

History shows that moving rightward on trans issues - toward you - actually costs candidates votes in the Dem base and doesn't gain them any new ones. And again: you're not a Democrat if you think trans women are men, which you clearly do.

Meg here thinks throwing trans people under the bus in a state that has enough trans adults to swing an election is a winning strategy. Thank god she's not the one talking to campaigns about this shit and I am.
