Ten Million??!? Thats ten whole millions. We can't thank this community enough for helping us donate to Partners In Health and the Coral Reef Alliance, your orders are helping to change the world one package at a time.

Good Store's got some big news... We've officially donated 10 million dollars to charity!

Here's a quick reminder of where that money is going and what it is doing. Awesome Socks Club & Sun Basin Soap: The Maternal Center of Excellence

The project that started it all - The Maternal Center of Excellence is a state of the art hospital in Sierra Leone that, when finished, will provide much needed medical care for millions of women across the country. When we started working to raise money for this project, Sierra Leone had the highest maternal mortality rate in the world. Thankfully from the hard work of healthcare workers in Sierra Leone and Partners In Health, the mortality rate is already falling, and hopefully when the hospital is finished it will become a foundational part of the healthcare system that keeps those numbers down for good. Keats & Co: Tuberculosis Care

Tuberculosis has been a theme for the last couple of years, and luckily our friends at Partners In Health are already on the case. When we merged tea and coffee, we decided to direct our donations from this new project towards Partners In Health's tuberculosis care program in Lesotho, a country with the highest instance of the disease in the world. Tackling an infectious disease is a many armed campaign, which means that the team at Partners In Health is not only treating active cases, they're tracking outbreaks, providing preventative care, and working on creating a robust country wide network of facilities with the necessary equipment.EcoGeek: The Coral Reef Alliance

And finally, our newest partner, the Coral Reef Alliance! EcoGeek is living up to it's name and donating 100% of it's profit to a group that is working on tackling coral reef die out in the Pacific Ocean. (Not a small task.) Specifically, we're donating to their Maui Watershed Restoration Project which takes coral reef protection from the water to the land. The Coral Reed Alliance is replanting the shoreline with native plants to curb erosion and halt sediment run off into the ocean which can block out light, killing the reefs and the animals that rely on them to live.
