I have missed the camaraderie of P-Town Bear Week. Love to friends new and old.
I’m so sick of respectability politics. (Which, by the way, won’t save you.) Unsurprisingly, both pieces were written by cis white men (we need to do better!), and Ben Appel is a “drop the T” gay traitor — when your book is praised by Julie Bindel, the company you keep is clear.
Why are America's largest newspapers stigmatizing queer people? — Advocate
Opinion: Both The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal recently ran opinion pieces essentially preaching "gay is respectable, queer is the problem." It's not helpful, writes Josh Ackley.

The Diversity Lounge / The Intersection at @officialpax.bsky.social is what made Boston Gaymers what it is today. The outreach and visibility it gave us were game-changing. Inclusive spaces in gaming are essential, and we need PAX to continue supporting them now more than ever.
With the nightmares for QTBIPOC in the United States right now, it is so so telling that @officialpax.bsky.social has decided that 2026 is the year to cut support and funding for The PAX Intersection & its PTI programs that made a PAX safer & life changing event for devs & attendees of color alike.
As if this wasn’t already clear to anyone who’s been following the NYT over the last decade or so.

Even the gem collection at the Royal Ontario Museum is celebrating Pride Month!
The gall. At the start of Pride month no less. They want to “acknowledge any hurt” — that’s like saying “I’m sorry you can’t breathe” to a person you have in a chokehold. You could easily end the hurt and drop the lawsuit. And they couldn’t even provide fucking ALT text.
Hey Boston peeps! I’m hosting another game night June 12 with @qtlibrary.org at Pandemonium Books & Games in Cambridge! Let’s blast into orbit with some space-themed games for Pride month.

I think @honeydavenport.bsky.social’s IML win is fantastic, as the leather community (like most LGBTQ+ groups) is getting queerer/less binary. But it sure has made a small, vocal group of people unhappy — mainly older white cis gay men — who are too stuck in the past to see our shared queer future.
