Background Diabetic foot osteomyelitis (DFO) is usually treated with prolonged outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT). Evaluation and treatment of nonantibiotic aspects of DFO (eg, peripheral artery disease) are also recommended. There are limited data regarding OPAT practice patterns and outcomes for DFO.
