I often said before the election that another Trump presidency would irreparably damage our democracy. I fear that prognostication has come true. But irreversibly harmed does not mean deceased.
We lost a great man today. At a time when many people spew hate and divisiveness, former President Carter was building houses for the poor and working to support peace and democracy around the world. May his memory be a blessing and an enduring reminder of what it truly means to serve.
A lot of folks are giving up in advance. Capitulating before a single skirmish. Well, not this old warrior. I’ve seen much worse from the U.S. government in my day. I’m concerned for our country, but not a bit scared of these miscreants. I’m ready to do my part. Who’s with me?
